Rose Elizabeth Sholtis made a peaceful transition from this earthly life on July 5, 2014 at the age of 85. Although it is with great sadness that her family has had to say goodbye to this beautiful, kind, and loving woman whom we love very much, we are at peace knowing that she is finally at rest with God in the company of angels.
Rose was an accomplished woman who used her talents in many ways throughout her life. She was a long-standing member of Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne and devoted many hours over the years to volunteering in various parish ministries and activities. In 2004 she received the Woman of the Year Award as a member of Ascension’s Council of Catholic Women.
Rose leaves behind family to cherish her memory, namely her daughters and their spouses, Linda (Craig) Adams, Debbie (Jerry) Grodecky; her grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Adams, Jacki (Ben) Campbell, Christin Thompson; and her great-grandchildren, Jonah, Ben and Caleb Adams, Tallon and Coy Campbell. She is also survived by a sister, Helen Iannacchione and brother, Vic DeSimone. Rose is reunited with her husband, William Sholtis, Sr., her son, William Sholtis, Jr., mother, father two sisters and a brother who have predeceased her.
