Shirley Ann Chalkley Alston Cocoa Shirley Ann Chalkley Alston, 74, passed away January 10, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Shirley is survived by her brother, Larry Chalkley of Atlanta, GA, and sister, Sandra Youngblood of Palatka, Florida; her children, Tommy "Skip" R. Alston, Jr, Oliver Bruce Alston, and Amy Alston Perry; grandchildren, Emma and Brianna Perry. She was preceded by her parents, Mae Dorman Chalkley and Johnny W. Chalkley, and seven other siblings. Shirley was an extra- ordinary woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 4 pm at the Cocoa Presbyterian Church in Cocoa, Florida. Donations may be made to the church, Space Coast Cancer Foundation or Wuesthoff Hospice.
