Steve enlisted in the Army in 1955 and was stationed in Germany. After discharge, he went to work for Pan Am World Services, Guided Missiles Range Division, a government contractor at the Cape and Patrick AFB. Steve worked as a Lead in the Supply Department and then transferred to CSR (Raytheon) and worked there from 1988 until he retired in 1995.
Steve was an avid bowler and bowled a sanctioned perfect 300 game during league play. Aside from bowling, he loved walking on the beach, collecting shells and broken colored glass and watching the fishermen throw their lines and children playing in the sand. He and Nada traveled to exciting destinations such as Puerto Rico, Croatia, Germany, France, England, Italy, Alaska, Santiago Chile, and Rio de Janeiro.
Steve was a loving husband and adoring father and grandfather. He enjoyed taking the grandkids to and from school and sports activities from 1995 to 2013. The kids got him a tag for his car “Dido’s Taxi”. He loved it. He lived to be 88, 4 months short of 89, and a month from our 65th wedding anniversary. He will forever be known as Dido.
