He served his country in the US Army Air Corps, USAF, and Florida Air National Guard. He was also employed by RCA, GE, and CSC. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Eileen O. Elliott. They had many adventures that are well-documented in photographs.
Walter was a loving and devoted husband. He was also a great role model to his four sons: Charles, Joseph, James, and John. Walter left behind a countless number of fond memories. Some of these memories include volunteering to be a Scout Master for his sons in the BSA. He was also actively involved in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives.
He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen O. Elliott, his parents Marshall and Rhoda Elliott, and sisters Wilma and Ethelene. He is survived by his four sons, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. His family is comforted in knowing his faith and trust was in the Lord.
