Its been a year now since you went to Heaven. I miss you so much, you always had a smile on your face no matter what was going on, I Miss your Hugs and telling you that you took care of me and went though the teenage years and now it was my turn to always care for you. I love you Mom till we meet again in Heaven.

For decades, Imogene has been the very best of friends to us: encouraging us, sharing her experiences with the Lord, praying for us. We remember happily the times when she stayed with us and shared in the life of our family. We will miss her companionship now and look forward to celebrating with her the victory over death which Jesus Christ has won for us all.

What an example of a true Christ-follower!  It was definitely a pleasure to know this cherished woman.  Even when her illness made it difficult to use words...she had an amazing ability to show sure love for her family and unconditional hope in our Savior.  Though she will be missed greatly...how wonderful it must have been for her when her faith became sight!  No longer confused or limited!  Norma, you did an incredible job as her daughter and caretaker.  Dependible until the end (even though you had your own health issues).  You set and extraordinary example for others to follow in caring for our loved ones.  I know you will miss her terribly, however you have a lifetime of love and memories to sustain you until you meet again.  We love you and will be praying for you as you endure.

I was blessed to know Imogene for 40 years. She loved to children of Haiti and served them in the Lord. I rejoice that she is now with her God and savior.

Imogene was a great woman. It was a special privilege to know her and Norman. Blessings to her entire family.

She was a very special lady who loved the Lord. She was an ambassador  and led many to Jesus!.She was very blessed to have a special daughter, Norma, that stood by her with special care  until the end.

Our Aunt Imogene lived her life fully.She gave her love with her whole heart.As a child growing up we I remember how proud we were of her.Excited to hear all the stories she had to share about Haiti.She truly loved her family and friends.Our cousin mentioned there were twenty Haitian people coming to her funeral.That shows how many lives she touched. God bless our Aunt  Imogene.

To my sweet Aunt Imogene,            We have shared so many memories for that I will always be grateful. 
Cypress Gardens, Disney World, Haita, family reunions and so many more. You were a rock, strong, quick witted, loving, caring  passionate, and compassionate, all rapped into a very extraordinary women. You always had a way of treating everyone special. You made me want to be a better person and keep the faith.          I am sure you are up there, rejoicing , watching over us and maybe raising a little cain. Ha! Ha! Kinda like when Uncle Norman asked us if he could sharpen our knives when we were cutting up big furniture boxes to packed sewing machines to take with us to Haita. Nothing like asking that when it was 90 degrees out and those boxes were about an inch thick. I thought you were gonna take him out. I never laughed so hard in my life. Imogene was a tremendous inspiration to me during my time working for Good Shepherd Ministries.  Her compassion for the children and the people around her was amazing.  I so enjoyed working with her and Norman.  Imogene, your wheelbarrow still overflows with the labors of your love and I shall think of you often my friend.

We are so sad to hear this news . All people in Milot are also so sad , if her funeral would be in Milot all people in Milot would be there , because she was a famous lady for us , we'll never forget her , we hope to see her in Heaven .
                         My church will make a service in her memory in the same day of her funeral . And we'll write in a big Card : Mrs. Mama Dixon Peace for your soul , we'll never forget you .
                          So, if i had my passport and also had a Visa i would be in her funeral , because she has been my mom since 1976 , so , my family and i , are really in big pain and also many , many haitians in Milot , Beclaire , savanne carree , Cap-Haitian ect...
                          I lost Norma Jeans phone number ,  because my phone was lost , Please give her Our Sympathy .

Imogene was the catalyst for several of our chirch group to go to the mission field.  She is an honored and beloved woman of God.

May GOD give you all peace at this time knowing that she is in HEAVEN with her Savior!!  She is herself again!!  You all were so very blessed to have her as she was a very remarkable and GODLY woman!!  GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!

She set several of our church group on the path to mission outreach.  She is truly worthy of honor as an obedient child of God.

Dear Beloved in the Lord,

Do receive, please, my best greetings in the Lord. 
it is with profound sadness to hear about my Spiritual mother's death yesterday evening. I don't know why I could not see her and talk with her this year, i could not understand why it was so hard to get my passport on time to participate in the board meeting and then visit with her. It  was my intent to ask the board to help me go and visit with her after the meeting. I feel toubled for not being able to be in her funeral service this Wednesday. As Gerry, Clyde, Chuck, Mama Dixon, as we commonly called her in Haiti, had been a living part in my life. After Christ she was the one who had spirituall, socially and materially changed my life. Pastor Fred Wall a man of God and missionary to Haiti, my spiritual father,  recmmended me to her for a position of teaching in the ministry she had founded. I was favorably welcome by her, and it was my first job in life. she has marked my fife for the rest of my life. I have learned a lot from her as a true servant of the
Lord, a generous soul, a loving mother, an obedient and devoted woman of the Lord. I never saw any missionary like her. As Gerry, Clyde and Chuck Turner, she loved Haitien children and people. 
whenever  I see John-John Pierre, Gerard Jack,  Louis-Jack, and many of young Haitiens who are today Pastors, Doctors, Lawyers, teachers, etc, they are all 
the fruit of her love and genuine sacrifices. GSMI,  the ministry implanted by her in Milot Haiti has very productive and has continued preparing more young haitiens for Christ. The Church of Lambert, of Milot, of Biclair, of Borde, of Robillard, of Plaisance, of Savane Carree had been implanted through her unceasing efforts.  these institutions have still served haitien people through the northern Haiti. This sad piece of news has shocked many Haitiens, old and young of all social rank. We are very very sad about that, and we will never forget her. Her good works will always tell about her among us. 
I feel very unfortunate for not being able to take part, as she had asked it, in her funeral services. I am hardly suffering with an abdominal pain which has prevented me from walking and sitting down. I have followed my doctor's prescription but nothing better has donne yet for more than a week. Tomorrow
I will have a sonographic test and X-ray as required by my physician.  I am very sorry for that. Please, I would ask the board through Gerry and Bro clyde to
transmit my sympathy to the mourning family. I will be glad to visit with them, God willing, by my next visit to America. My heart has been with them and will continue to lift them all in prayer.
