William G. Lynch, Sr.

William George Lynch, SR. was born to Charles and Edith Lynch in Cascade Hanover, November 9th, 1925. Mr. Lynch had two brothers, Lloyd and Herman Lynch that preceded him in death. He also had two sisters.

William spent most of his childhood years living in Montego Bay, Jamaica. His father, Charles Lynch Sr. was a mechanic who worked with the Public Works Department. He would observe his father fixing cars/trucks and he became a jack of all trades. He would fix anything that was broken and needed fixing. As a young man he migrated to the United States in the 1940's as a farm worker. After returning to Jamaica, his first son Patrick was born to Daphnie White, who he spoke highly of. At some point he learned carpentry and moved to Kingston where he worked on several projects. In 1959 he met Rosalee's mom Estella and they had a daughter. Mr. Lynch liked playing Domino's and hanging out with his friends, dancing and listening to old music. He enjoyed being a swinging bachelor until he met a young lady by the name of Glenda in 1962. They were married and they had a son and a daughter. It was very difficult for him to find work, so he migrated to the Bahamas in 1966. His wife at the time, then migrated to the United States and he later joined her in Boston, followed by three of his children, Rosalee, also known as Jean, Andrea and Mark Lynch.

The family was very happy for awhile, but like everything else, things changed and Mr. Lynch and his wife divorced in 1978. Despite the divorce he remained close friends with his ex-wife and their four children. His children enjoyed being around him and he would tell them all about his trips to the United States. In 1988 he retired and migrated to Palm Bay, Florida. His ex-wife then moved to Florida, so he could be closer to the younger children.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am.
