

Ann Emma Mayton, 94, of Albany, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born May 1, 1928 in Offenbach Germany. Mrs. Mayton grew up in Germany and met James (Jim) Mayton while Jim was stationed in Germany with the US Air Force. They married July 4, 1953, and were together 56 years before Jim's passing in March, 2010. She is also preceded by her parents, and a brother. In 1953, they moved to Texas where she gained her US citizenship. Jim's duty in the USAF also took them to New Hampshire, before Albany, Georgia, where they settled after Jim's USAF retirement. Ann was a long time member of St Theresa Catholic Church in Albany, and active with their craft group, linen team and other ministries. She enjoyed shopping, tending to her flower garden at home and meetings with the local German Ladies Club. She, briefly, relocated to Rogers, Arkansas in March 2022. Survivors include her daughter Elizabeth (Wayne) Fugere of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren, Allison (Jimmy) Moore of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Amy (Eric) Newton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Daniel (Kyla) Fugere of Pass Christian, Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Amelia Moore, Penelope Fugere, Kalie Fridline, Zeke Fridline, and Harley Fridline. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Rogers, Arkansas and interment at Andersonville National Cemetery with husband Jim.
