

Austin James Reid of Rogers, AR passed away on April 5, 2020. He was born on Christmas Eve, 1995 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Jim and Angela Reid, who loved him even before they saw him. When Jim and Angela found out they were expecting Austin they knew their family was complete.
Austin loved the outdoors, he loved riding bikes, taking hikes, walking trails to explore nature and he loved to golf.
Austin was a competitor, he raced motocross for 10 years from the age of 7 to 17. Austin played a variety of sports (baseball, basketball and football in little league and played football again his Senior year in high school). He loved spending time with his family and always took the time to play with his niece and nephew when he was around them. Austin was a loving, sweet spirited yet funny and sarcastic guy. He loved his friends like they were brothers and sisters. He was also a huge animal lover.
Austin was driven to succeed and was on track to complete his business degree at the University of Arkansas.
Austin was also employed by the University of Arkansas in the Athletic Department business office.
Austin will be dearly missed by his mother and father, Jim and Angela Reid of Rogers, AR, his brother and sister in law Jimmy and Holly Reid of Tulsa, OK, his sister and brother in law Amber and Roderick Smith of Lowell, AR, his sister and brother in law Jessica and Matt Podgornik of Rogers, AR. His Niece and Nephew Harper and Jaylen Smith of Lowell, AR. His Grandparents Rick and Charlotte Matheson of Stillwater, Ok. His Grandmother Diana Samuels of Rogers, AR. His Great-Grandmother, Betty Loffer of Coffeyville, KS. His aunts, uncles, cousins and all of those friends who loved him like a brother.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Reid of Perkins, OK, his grandfather Tom Samuels of Cushing, OK. Great Grandmother Vera Chandler of Cushing, OK and Great Grandmother Mildred Reid of Stroud, OK.
