Barbara J. Braswell

Barbara Jean Braswell, 67, of Bella Vista and formerly of Joplin, Missouri passed away Monday, June 1 following a sudden illness. She was born to the late William Brackeen and Mary Clemmer Brackeen on July 23, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For many years she worked in the medical community, both in Missouri and Arkansas. Survivors include her daughter, Misty and Misty’s husband, Erick Richey and their children, Gannon, Jared and Kaitlyn of Springdale, Arkansas; her son, Joe and his wife, Michelle Braswell and their daughter, Lauryn of St. Louis and Edward Braswell of Miami, Oklahoma, who she married in 1968 and shared 37 years of marriage. A Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 Thursday in the Stateroom of Rollins Funeral Home, 1401 West Hudson Road in Rogers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the “Barbara Shockley Contribution Fund” at any Arvest Bank which will assist with her 4 grandchildren’s college expenses.
