Lavern was a Missionary Baptist preacher for many years, retiring in 1990’s. But he continued to always minister to those around him.
He owned Huskey’s Plumbing in Rogers.
He is survived by his daughters; Joyce Hardy and husband, Gary of South Carolina, and Beverly Hoyt of Rogers; brother, Boyce Keller and wife, Pat of Rogers; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Sara Lane Huskey and 2nd wife, Lois Roller Huskey; son, William Burrell Huskey and daughter, Sheila Morton; brothers, Charles Huskey and George Keller; and sister, Helen Allen.
His visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 5 until 7 in Rollins Funeral Home Stateroom. Funeral service will be on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00am in Temple Baptist Church in Rogers. Burial will follow at Oakley Chapel Cemetery.
