Carroll L Jones

He was born May 3, 1926, to the late H.T. and Velma Jones.

Carroll was a retired farmer and mail carrier, and enjoyed woodturning. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers. Carroll served in WWII with the U.S. Marine Corps in Iwo Jima, where he received a purple heart.

Carroll is preceded in death by his beloved wife Dollie.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a son, Randy Jones and wife Lu Ann of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Beverly Patterson and husband Stanley of Rogers; two sisters, Joyce Lowery and husband Loyd of Littlefield, TX and Lynda Brunk of Lone Tree, CO.; grandchildren, T.J. Patterson and wife Erin of Folly Beach, SC, and Kayla Henderson and husband Jared of Centerton; and one great-grandchild, Kenna Henderson.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Rollins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages loved ones to make a donation in Carroll’s memory to the Circle of Life Hospice House.
