

In his younger years, Charles served eight years in the United States Marines. He later worked as an engineer, and his work brought him to many places all over the world, including Nova Scotia, Trinidad, Africa, and many other countries. He married his wife, Ruby, and the two enjoyed 52 years of marriage together. They had six children together, and even adopted a few grandchildren in their later years. Charles spent many hours taking his grandchildren to baseball and basketball practices, and he was their biggest fan. For over 30 years, he would travel to Alaska to go on epic fishing trips. He was also known for his woodworking, specifically his talent for making custom grandfather clocks. Charles was loved by many, and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by: parents, Leonard and Albina Schuckman; and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Pat Depperschmidt.
Charles is survived by: his wife, Ruby Schuckman; sons, Robert Schuckman of Rogers, Ron Schuckman of North Pole, Alaska, Rick Schuckman of Rogers, Shawn Schuckman of Rogers, and Jason Myers of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Rita Behne of Rogers, and Ruby Jean Yeakley of Rogers; brother, Leonard Schuckman of Wichita, Kansas; three adopted grandchildren, Kaden Schuckman, Gage Schuckman, and Braxton Schuckman; 27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28th at Rollins Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm. A service will be the following Friday, September 29th at Grace Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas at 4:00pm, with entombment to follow at Benton County Memorial Park.
