Earl was born November 26, 1948 in Ft. Smith, AR to the late Darrell Albert and Modena (Wilks) Boen.
Earl was a veteran, serving in the marines during the Vietnam era. He was a lifetime member of the DAV chapter 53 and American Legion Post 100, also serving on their honor guard. He was also active in the Democratic Party, serving as an election sheriff in Avoca.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward Boen.
Survivors include his loving wife JoAnn, of the home; one son, Earl Boen of Rolla, MO; one daughter, Melissa Boen of the home; one brother, Richard Boen of Garfield; one sister, Janette Bell of Pea Ridge; and one grandson, Nick Bailey, of the home.
Services for Earl will be 1pm Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 30 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
