Edith Buckley

Edith Buckley, 102, died December 14, 2011 at Circle of Life in Springdale. She was born in Oplin Texas on March 21, 1909 to the late John B. and Jane A. (Lamb) Dickson.

Mrs. Buckley was born the same year the Razorback Football Team received their name. She was very proud to be a loyal fan all her life.

She was the oldest member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers, Arkansas. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and working with children. For many years she provided child care in the Rogers area. She was loved by all who knew her and Edith will be greatly missed.

Edith is survived by her sons, Bill U. Buckley of Rogers, Richard L. Buckley of Fayetteville and daughter, Hilda N. Yarbrough of Searcy. She has eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ulis M. Buckley, four brothers and three sisters.

Her funeral will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 10:00am at the Southside Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City, AR. Visitation is Friday, December 16, 2011 from 4-6 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
