Effie Mae Eckert, age 77, of Bentonville, Arkansas, died January 12, 2012. She was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on August 5, 1934, to William and Rosa (Kramer) Hottenstein. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bentonville. Effie loved everybody and everybody loved her.
Survivors include her husband of over 44 years, John Eckert; daughter, Phyllis Hennings and husband Mark of Greentown; siblings, Elda Shafer and William Hottenstein of Philadelphia; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and seven siblings.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Stacy Seger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 406 West Central, Bentonville, AR 72712.
