

Fred joined the Army in 1961 where he proudly served his country.
On March 6th, 1964, he married the love of his life Betty Jo McIver. They were married for 62 beautiful years. Together they had two children, David and Anita. He moved his family back to Northwest Arkansas in 1986 to be close with his extended family.
He had a strong faith in God and prayed daily for everyone and everything.
He was a truck driver for many years before transitioning into a safety director for a trucking company. He took great pride in his work and made sure he impressed that strong work ethic into his children and grandchildren.
Fred loved fishing, riding motorcycles, drag racing and most importantly he loved his weekly Saturday night poker game with his family.
Fred was the ultimate storyteller, and you never saw him without a smile on his face.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred Wallous Spears and Tracy Jane Crossland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty; his son David Spears and his daughter Anita Jones (Mike); his brothers James, Lawrence and Robert; his grandchildren Jennifer Miller (Chris), Samantha Spears, Joshua Spears and Jada Ritter; and one great grandchild Aiden Jo Miller.
He was truly loved by family and friends alike and will be greatly missed. There will be no funeral services at Fred’s request. He will be cremated at this time with a memorial time to be set later where he will receive his 21-gun salute.
