
Gerald was a proud Navy veteran of World War II. He was also a Christian, and was a faithful member at the First Baptist Church in Rogers. He was the retired owner of four different Daylight Doughnut shops. He was an avid golfer and bridge player, and was known for his love of people. Gerald was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Grace Ford; both parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Ronda Rivera, James Ford, and Valerie Larsen; and two sisters, Hattie Geisler and Betty Evans. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, 3 boys and two girls; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will take place from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service. Burial will take place the following Monday at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
