I was extremely shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of James. Though I don't know your family very well, James' journey and your love for one another has touched me so much. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have gotten to know you both a little bit better! You have an incredible family and show such strength and courage!  Thank you for choosing to include me in your lives and for being open to trying a few gifts from God :)  I send all my love to your family. And to Sedonia, as you move forward in your life without James, I believe in your strength, your heart, your faith, and am glad you can move forward in peace knowing James is with Jesus.

Although this is extremely hard for me and it feels as if I’ve lost my father all over again, I can say that I am truly blessed to have known such an awesome, loving, caring and God-fearing man for over 21 years. There are so many things that I’m going to miss about him. However, I can cherish them forever, like the way he would say my daughter, his granddaughter’s name , all of the phone calls we shared, and most of all the ability to tell him, “I love you PopPop”. He will truly be missed, always loved, and never forgotten. 

My deepest sympathy to the family of Bro. Young. I met this awesome couple through the Coopers a few years ago, and from the moment I stepped into their home I felt the love and spirit of God working through them to impact younger generations. I will truly miss him and I'm sending hugs and kisses to his beautiful wife Sis. Young. Keep those memories forever in your heart and stay strong. Love ya!

Mr. James Young. To the man I called my Dad, Friend, Comrade, Constituent & Confidant. I want to say *Thank You*. What a joy it was to be apart of your life. As I look back over the year's, I thank God for allowing me to be apart of  your book call *LIFE*.  For the last 18 Chapters of your life, you could not write your story and leave me out{LOL}. I knew it was a reason James & James met each other. I dare not say goodbye because I will see you again. Love your Son (James Cooper).

I am blessed to have had such a loving cousin that cared about the world. I always appreciated his calls to check on me and I always promised him that I would do better about calling him back. I just want to thank him for everything he ever did for me. I love you James and I will always carry you in my heart. 

Words cannot Express the gratitude that I have for being adopted into this family 10 years ago.  This Young man was the best bonus dad anyone could ever ask for. The love he showed me and my family (Coop, De'Janai, and Destiny) is indescribable. He is a true example of a man of integrity, character,  exceptional husband, father, mentor,  prayer partner,  and friend.  He most definitely will be missed. I will miss your long talks of wisdom (especially while I'm traveling!) You ( and Sis. Young) have been the best bonus parents. Love you to the heavens!

What a great man. What a kind man. Thank you for inviting me to church way back in '94. That small gesture changed my life in many ways. You were such a positive influence in my life. I cannot thank you and Sedonia enough for being so kind to me. I will never forget you.

I am sending my condolences to the family.  Proverbs 3:5/Psalm 121. Hold tight to the good memories, his supportive spirit, and his legacy of love(truth). Brother Young will be missed. He was a true definition of a marriage ministry. Not only did he love his wife unconditionally, he also expressed his faith in the value/joy of marriage for everyone. He believed in it so much that he would remind single persons(such as myself) to prepare your heart for your spouse. The Lord truly blessed us all when he gave us Brother James Young. A selfless man, after God's heart. He loved the Lord and understood how to treat his people. 


A man of great character, integrity and kindness, a legacy which lives through his children.  His family is a beautiful reflection of all he valued and stood for. 

James thanks for all the advice you gave me and all the love you showed me. You were my inspiration. You were always there for others. Your love was unconditional. I will always remember you for your kindness and thoughtfulness. God picked a wonderful man. You will be missed. I love you always. You will forever be in my heart. 

The height of Great Men reached in kept, was not obtained through sudden flight! Fly high SuperStar! We love you always...
