Kenneth Mabry Phillips

Kenneth was an entrepreneur all his life with experience in grocery, restaurant, construction industries, and many other endeavors. Kenneth was a family man first and foremost, spending 59 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Verna, and nurturing a large loving family. He was known for his sense of humor and his love for his grandchildren, who knew him as Po-Po.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Golda Phillips, and three brothers, Doyle, Harlon, and Odell.

Survivors include his wife, Verna, of the home; two daughters, Kennita Rakes and her husband Alan and Kendra Adkins and her husband Barry; two sons, Bradley Phillips and partner Lee Lanzoni and Eric Phillips and his wife Danielle; six grandchildren, Chad Wilson, Alana Adkins and husband Jim, Jennifer Grimes and husband Craig, Chasity Little and husband Patrick, Mallory Phillips, and Jeremiah Phillips; and 11 great grandchildren.

Services for Kenneth will be 10am Friday, April 1, 2011 at Lowell First Baptist Church with visitation the night before, from 6-8 pm at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Burial will be at Cave Springs Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in Kenneth’s name to the American Heart Association.
