

Lonnie Winfield, age 81, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born in Chouteau, Oklahoma on September 15, 1929 to Frank and Lela Winfield.
Lonnie had the opportunity to experience residing across all parts of the United States. He started his career with US Borax in Carlsbad, New Mexico, transferring to US Borax in Boron California. He took his family from California to Missouri to Washington State to Maryland. Lonnie retired from Eastalco in Frederick, Maryland. He was the co-owner of Ann’s Florist in Middletown, Maryland.
Lonnie and his wife Marjorie were members of the First Baptist Church in Centerton, Arkansas.
Lonnie is survived by three children, Terri Winfield-Story married to John Story of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sandie Endres of Bentonville, Arkansas and Steve Winfield, married to Jan Winfield of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jennifer Wolff, Elizabeth Sontag, Matthew Endres and Meredith Spahn; and seven great-grandchildren. He also was survived by two sisters, Lilliebelle Bryant of Pryor, Oklahoma and Joan White of Vinton, Louisiana.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Ann Bendure Winfield, his parents Lela and Frank Winfield, and a brother JD Winfield.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday July 28, 2011 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011, in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, 1401 W Hudson Rd, Rogers, Arkansas, officiated by the Rev. Stewart Bell, with graveside services held at 2:00 p.m. in Chouteau West Cemetery, Chouteau, Oklahoma, officiated by the Rev. Wallace Broyles.
