Mark Sockrider

Mark Alan Sockrider, 71, of Bentonville passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was born August 3, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana to the late William Sockrider and Marjorie Tharp Sockrider. Mark was a long-time resident of Bentonville and retired from a long engineering career. He enjoyed playing golf and watching golf tournaments, fishing, concerts, visiting historic sites and working on his lawn. In years past, he loved coaching his children’s youth baseball teams. He will be remembered as a loving father, a good man, and an honest man. Survivors include his children, Angela Sockrider of Rogers and Justin (Liz) Sockrider of Bella Vista; his grandchildren, Zoey Griffis and Lyric Cote; a brother, Larry (Norma) Sockrider of Nebraska; numerous extended family members, associates and dear friends. Services will be Tuesday, April 4, 2023 with Visitation from 5-7:00 followed by his Funeral at 7:00, all in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. A private burial, will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey, Indiana at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
