To Matt's children and family I'm am so sorry for your loss. His passing is also a loss for me as he was my First Love, and I think I was his. They say that you never forget your first love and for me that's true. Although we haven't kept in touch for the past 30ish years, Matt has always held a special place in my heart, and always will. A part of my heart will always love you.  I met him on the first day of 6th grade, when he offered me a seat next to him on the bus which I gladly took.  It changed my life forever. He was the first boy I ever loved. He had such a warm smile and made me laugh. We chatted and found that we shared a love of classical music. I convinced him to join our schools orchestra, which he did all through middle school playing the Cello. We were friends, we dated off and on throughout middle school, we shared a youthful love for each other. I don't know what he was like as an adult, but as a young teenager, he was always fun, energetic, easy to talk to, and could make you laugh. He will forever hold a special place in my heart. I know his life wasn't always easy, and I don't know what lead to his passing, but I hope that his soul is at peace. I am so sorry for your loss! I hope in time, your sorrow will lessen. May we meet again someday!
