

Roy W. Reynolds, age 88, of Rogers, died August 11, 2010, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born on December 2, 1921, to the late James Reynolds, Sr., and Iva (Simmons) Reynolds. He was raised in the Lower Wharton Community in Madison County, and moved to Benton County when he was four.
He graduated eighth grade at Liberty School and graduated high school at Cave Springs in 1941. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, where he was stationed in the South Pacific and was a Master Sergeant in a Quarter Master supply company that distributed food and clothing to about 30,000 troops.
He was a charter member of First United Methodist Church where he was a past board member and member of the Willing Workers Sunday School class. He was also a board member of the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and Farmers Exchange, and was past director of Farm Bureau and the 4-H Foundation.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Faye (Aaron) Reynolds; children, Kathryn Morris of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kenneth Reynolds and wife Marsha of Woodbridge, Virginia; brothers, Wayne Reynolds of Lompoc, California, Darrel Reynolds of Bentonville; grandchildren David Young (Rachael), Lori Robinson, Chris Reynolds (Kristen), Jason Reynolds; and great grandchildren Christian, Zachary and Braden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob, Junior and Wendell Reynolds; and sister, Ruby Bailey.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at First United Methodist Church, Rogers, officiated by Rev. Sandra Wanasek and Rev. David Bentley. Burial will be private.
