Ryan was born on Christmas Day 1970, in Point Pleasant, N.J. to Ronald Barry Donnerstag & Judith Ann Kugler (Dietrich).
Ryan graduated from Pinelands High School and volunteered at his local fire department. He worked various positions in his difficult life. He was born special needs and enjoyed the freedoms he obtained to become independent.
He was severely injured on Labor Day in 2016, when he suffered a stroke while cruising on "Bumble Bee", his freedom cruising moped. He struck a car and was thrown into traffic getting run over. Our local fire department & EMS were quick to respond and get him care.
Since 2017, he's resided in Rogers Health & Rehabilitation Center in Rogers, AR. Here they taught him to eat, breathe and walk again briefly. This was where he met his sweetheart Melissa. She was a resident as well. They fell in love and we had a beautiful DEDICATION OF LOVE ceremony in the facility. Melissa passed a year later. They were incredibly happy together.
Ryan especially loved WWE, KISS, HARLEY-DAVIDSON, all genres of music, wolves, dogs, eagles, fishing, and smoking... He loved to flirt with the nurses, CNAs & kitchen staff often telling them how beautiful they were, how happy he was to see them, or how much he appreciated what they do for him.
Ryan is survived by 2 sisters: Sandy Williams (Pete) and Jeanette Franklin (Maurice); 1 brother: Ron Donnerstag (Lisa); and 8 nieces and nephews.
Ryan's parents, grandparents, and eldest sister, Donna Keller, preceded him in death.
There is no Celebration of Life scheduled at this time.
Memorial donations in Ryan's memory if you so choose, may be directed to your local Fire Department or Animal Shelter.
