

Wendell was born and raised in Springdale. He was married to his wife, Avyonne, and the two of them were happily married for 50 years. They raised three beautiful children and enjoyed their lives in Northwest Arkansas. Wendell was a family man, and he cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and even owned his own bike repair shop in Rogers for many years. Wendell was incredibly handy and could fix any automobile issue that he was faced with. He was a retired motorcycle racer and worked on race bikes. He was also an incredible athlete, and he was an avid runner in his spare time.
Later in life, Wendell worked at the Glad factory for many years. He lived with his daughter, Andrea, for the past seventeen years, and they moved to Florida in 2021. Wendell was a true witness for the Lord, and he preached to everyone he knew about the word of God. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could easily put a smile on anyone’s face. He set a great example of a devoted Christian to those around him, and he will always be remembered by those who knew him.
Wendell is preceded in death by: loving wife, Avyonne Tisdale; children, Vicki Tisdale and Nick Tisdale; parents, Oran and Virginia Tisdale; and siblings, Bill Tisdale and Lynn Tisdale.
He is survived by: daughter, Andrea Tisdale; brother, Ken Tisdale; sisters, Carolyn Neil and Barbara Long; sisters-in-law, Uvyonne Cole and Judy Young; daughter-in-law, Debbie Tisdale; five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st at Monte Ne Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas from 12:00-1:00 PM. Funeral service immediately to follow at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Mack Mills. Wendell will be laid to rest at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
