

Dr. Reynolds was born in Dodge County, GA. July 17, 1934, son of the late Millard Benjamin Reynolds, Sr. and Minnie Lee Rawlins Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by a son Robert Reynolds, two daughters Denise Burton and Maureen Reynolds, one brother Millard B. Reynolds, Jr., and four sisters Edna Wilkey, Corliss Cooper, Juanita Reynolds and Betty Jo Fewell.
Dr. Reynolds lived in Macon, GA. for a period of time graduating from Sydney Lanier High School, then attending and graduated from Mercer University. He later on did some course work continuing his education at Shorter College and Berry College and received his Master’s degree in Physics and Chemistry from the University of Georgia where he also finished his Doctorate degree in Educational Administration. He was a member of North Broad Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board, various committee’s and loved teaching Sunday School. He dearly loved writing and reading poetry.
Survivors include his wife Naomi Clevenger Reynolds to whom he was married for 54 years, a daughter Delora Davis and her husband Dwayne of Adairsville, grand children Joseph Burton, Kerry Wilson, David Burton, Patrick Burton, Erin Davis and Cooper Davis. 8 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Dr. Reynolds will be conducted Sunday January 8, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Thomas B. Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Daniel Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at Daniel’s from 1:00 until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to the Youth Ministry of North Broad Baptist Church 1309 North Broad St. Rome, GA. 30161.
