Mr. Cooper was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church, Ormond Beach. He retired from Carolina Freight Carriers of Calhoun and later worked with Daniel’s Funeral Home for a number of years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was preceded in death by two children: a son, Jerome Cooper, and a daughter, Susan Cooper Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Cooper; two sons, Ronny and wife Pat Cooper, Rome, and Tommy and wife Joyce Cooper, Rockmart; two grandchildren, Brett and wife Jennifer Jones, Rome, and Christopher Cooper, Rockmart; and two great grandchildren, Lynlee Jones and Jackson Jones, both of Rome.
A graveside service was held Thursday, August 23, 2012, at the East View Cemetery in Adairsville, GA.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Centennial Park Pavilion, Ormond Beach, officiated by his pastor, Joseph Kim.
