Survivors include his wife Marion J. Shaw and his children Anne D. McConnell, her husband Harry E. McConnell, Jane S. Dempsey, Charles C. Shaw, Jr., his wife Tasha R. Shaw and three grandchildren Abigail Jackson Shaw, Anna Reese Shaw and Charles Carpenter Shaw, III.
A graveside service will be held at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Rome, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 4:00 PM. The Rev. Nikki Mathis, associate Rector, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, will officiate.
