

David Ronald Satcher, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away suddenly on January 25, 2024 at the age of 72. Ron was born in 1951 in Taylorsville, Georgia to parents Jesse and Helen Satcher, who preceded him in death. Ron has shared 42 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Pallie Satcher. Their love is a testament to the power of love and support. Their shared purpose was a focus on their family and faith.
Ron cherished his role as a father to daughter Dianna LaRee Hiatt (married to Gary Hiatt), Brent Alexander (married to Karen Alexander), Aaron Alexander (married to Medea Alexander), and Trey Alexander (married to Robin Alexander). Ron held tightly to his steadfast love for his grandchildren: Bailey Engle, Sydney Hiatt, Madeline Bone, Savannah Alexander, Dylan Hiatt, Grantley Bone, Harrison Alexander, Haven Alexander, and Kinsley Alexander. Adding more joy to his life with family was the addition of two great-grandchildren: Rhys Engle and Gemma Alexander.
Ron was the beloved brother of Steave Satcher of Taylorsville, Sherri Satcher Erwin of Aragon, Tim Satcher of Rome, and Melissa Satcher Littlefield of Taylorsville. He had the honor of the title “Favorite Uncle” to many beloved nieces and nephews, and “Favorite Nephew” to many Aunts and Uncles.
Ron resided in the Wax Community for most of his life. He settled back in his hometown following a successful military career with the United States Army, where he served as Chaplain and was ranked E6 Staff Sergeant upon an honorable discharge.
Ron earned a Masters in Public Administration and a Masters in Business Administration from Berry College and other institutions while traveling globally with the Military. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and kindness towards others and is a role model for his hard work ethic and generosity.
Ron will be greatly and deeply missed by those who called him family, friend, and brother.
Visitation for Mr. Satcher will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service in the Daniel's Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 AM.
