

Mrs. Burnett was born in Atlanta, Georgia October 19, 1930. She was the daughter of the late J. Hue Demonia and Gladys Adel Lawrence Demonia. She was also preceded in death by her husband Mr. James Grady Burnett and a son Randall Grady Burnett.
Mrs. Burnett was an avid gardener. She enjoyed planting and growing flowers, tomato plants, and she was known for making the best tomato sandwiches around. She was a very charitable person to everyone, and she spent many years traveling the world with her husband. She also loved her cats, but more than anything she loved her family.
She is survived by a son, Robert Jay Burnett of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; one sister, Josephine Camp and her husband Preston of Cedartown, GA.; four grandchildren, Alan Burnett and his wife Kayla of Rydal, GA., Mike Burnett and his wife Heather of Rome, Russ Burnett and his wife Dixi of Dallas, GA., and Drew Burnett and his wife Amy of Rome; seven great grandchildren, Malachi Burnett, Caedmon Burnett, Afton Burnett, Max Burnett, Molly Burnett, Katlyn Burnett and Kelsie Burnett; two nieces Melody Barbre and Martiti Mundy, and one nephew Preston Camp Jr.
The family received friends Monday January 30, 2017 from 1 to 2:00 pm at Daniel’s Funeral Home. A funeral service followed the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Thomas B. Griffin Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home. Interment then followed at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
