Frances B Gaines

Mrs. Gaines was born in Rome,Georgia on November 28, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Frank Brazelton and the late Louise Sewell Brazelton. Mrs. Gaines was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years James Lewis Gaines.

Mrs. Gaines was a 1951 graduate of Rome High School. She went on to attend college at Georgia State College for Women, Meredith College and Shorter College before joining General Electric in their drafting department.

Mrs. Gaines is survived by her sister Ellen Brazelton Krift of Urbana, Ohio; daughter, Ann Gaines Slinkard of Rome, Georgia; son, Steve Gaines of Mentor, Ohio; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Mrs. Gaines was a member of First Baptist Church of Rome.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Brazelton Gaines will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, in the Chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association at 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231.
