Gerald was born in Rome on November 4, 1956, the son of the late Gary and Angelan Gresham. He graduated from West Rome High School in 1974. He raced motorcycles for 50 years and won the National Championship in 2007, an accomplishment he was very proud of. He also loved to ride bicycles.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Thompson Gresham; his sons, Thomas Gresham and Adam Gresham (Emily); his granddaughter, Virginia Gresham; his brother, Jeff Gresham (Margaret); his nephew, Ras Fincher (Candace); and his furry best friend, Ake.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Rev. Diedrich Reading officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 1:30 pm and include: Gary Wright, Matt Spears, Steve Cooper, Arnold Flowers, Mark Edwards and Jackie Dutton. Honorary pallbearer will be Glen Popham.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Daniel’s Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until the service time.
