Grady Lee Burrell

Mr. Burrell was born in Atlanta, GA. on December 16, 1916, son of the late Claude Burrell and Naomi Day Burrell. Mr. Burrell was married to Jeanette Drew on December 26, 1938. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist church and was retired from the US Coast Guard as Chief Boatswain’s Mate. Mr. Burrell also worked for the US Postal Service, Lindale Mill and Black and Meat Milling Company. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Drew Burrell on January 3, 2001. He was also preceded in death by three Brothers and by two sisters.

He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Claude Burrell and his wife Mickey of Summerville, GA, and Grady Burrell and his wife Echo of Juliette, GA. Five Grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 27, 2012 at 2:00p.m. in the Thomas B. Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Holsomback and Rev. Tony Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Graveside Military Rites will be provided by the Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 American Legion Honor Guard.
