James O'Bryant "JB" Hitchcock age, 77 passed away March 26, 2017 from a short illness.
Mr.Hitchcock was born February 11,1940 to the late Herbert and Frances Hitchcock.
He graduated from East Rome High School in 1958 and attended West Georgia College.
Mr. Hitchcock was the owner of Hitchcock Sales Company and longtime Auctioneer and was a member of Callier Springs Country Club, and Dykes Creek Baptist Church. He was proceeded in death by his son Herbert Arthur Hitchcock and by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Charlene T. Hitchcock and his daughter, Laura Lee Hitchcock, both of Rome. step -daughter Dina D. Cowan and her husband Steve M. Cowan; daughter in law Jessie Watters Hitchcock, of Rome; five grandchildren: grandsons Hubert Robinson Hitchcock and Stephen McBrayer and Barritt Tarpley Cowan, all of Rome; granddaughters Laura Grace Hitchcock and Emma Katherine Cowan, all of Rome, GA.
JB enjoyed playing golf and enjoyed antique car shows, watching his grandchildren play sports, and being with family and friends.
