Jane Coker McEver

Ms. McEver was born in Floyd Co., on April 28, 1954, the daughter of William Harbin Coker and the late Marguerite Kathryn Mann Coker. Ms. McEver was a lifelong parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was employed by Floyd County Schools for 23 years and was associated with McHenry School as secretary for 15 years.

In addition to her mother, Marguerite (Beedly) Coker, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ken McEver, and her mother-in-law, Donna McEver.

Survivors include one son, Bob Cain (Gemma), LaGrange; one daughter, Mary Jane McEver, Rome; grandchildren, Oliver Xavier and Nicholas Harbin Cain, both of LaGrange, and Savannah Marguerite and William Harbin McEver, both of Rome; her father, William H. (Bill) Coker, Rome; two sisters, Mary Anne Girard (Rob), Norcross, and Laurie Niebuhr (George), Ft. Mill, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 3 p.m. in the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home, Rome, with Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating.

A Rosary will be held at Daniel's Funeral Home on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a visitation from 2 until 3 p.m.
