Jan was born in Ludington, Michigan to Harlan and Viola (Van Riper) Chatfield on November 4, 1950. She married Larry Laiskonis on January 17, 1969 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She worked for many years as an administrator specializing in accounting. Jan has resided in Michigan as well as Calhoun, Georgia. In the past year, Jan and husband Larry have been fulfilling her dream of seeing the country as they traveled in the RV.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, sister Margaret Cargill and brothers William and John Chatfield. Jan is survived by her husband Larry; her sister Ginny McClure and brother Donnie Chatfield; her children Amy Laiskonis and Michael Laiskonis; and granddaughter, Katie St. Germaine; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
