Mrs. Donner was born in New Orleans, LA on April 7, 1968, the daughter of Jess Marie Bialas Palazzolo and Vincent Don Palazzolo.
Mrs. Donner was a registered nurse and had worked in the pediatric cardiac ICU at Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. She was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, loved piano and served on the membership committee at the YMCA. She also coached basketball and soccer at the YMCA. She served as a volunteer at the Montessori School in Rome, was a devoted mother and wife and always had a smile.
Survivors include her husband, Joshua Benjamin Donner, to whom she was married May 27, 1995; five children, Elijah Gene Donner, Grace Marquet Donner, Emmanuel Alexander Donner, Ezra Mark Donner and Ezekiel James Donner, all of Rome; her mother, Jess Marie Bialas Palazzolo, Atlanta; her father, Vincent Don Palazzolo, Calhoun; and three brothers, Matthew David Palazzolo (Alicia), Durango, CO, Marcus John Palazzolo (Jacqueline), Calhoun, and Daniel Michael Palazzolo, Atlanta.
A funeral mass for Mrs. Donner will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rome, with Father Patrick Kingery and Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Rome.
Pallbearers will be Matthew David Palazzolo, Marcus John Palazzolo, Daniel Michael Palazzolo, Matthew Lee Donner, David Michael Donner and William Lowell Waldrep, Jr.
There will be a Rosary Service led by Deacon Stuart Neslin on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 6 PM at Daniel’s Funeral Home followed by visitation from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM.
A special thank you is given to Paul Brock, MD, Jerry McCormick, DO, Ruth O’Regan, MD, and special friends Nancy Goldin, Julie McCormick, Shemi Kumar, Lynn Finn and all of Kristin’s close high school, college, nursing school, and CICU nurses, doctors and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the YMCA, 810 East Second Ave., Rome, GA 30161, the Montessori School, 165 Dodd Blvd., Rome, GA 30161, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 911 N. Broad St., Rome, GA 30161 or the Basketball and Soccer programs at Rome Middle and Rome High Schools.
