Most people know her as Darlene, She was a woman with great determination. She enjoyed ranch work and being outdoors. She was a cowgirl at heart. Darlene was very talented- from making clothes and curtains and chaps, knife holders to welding, to making whatever she wanted or needed from just scrap material. At a young age she worked on ranches but circumstances changed and she learned how to drive an 18 wheeler in a time where there were very few women in this occupation. But she always managed to go back to the country and surround herself with horses, cattle, dogs, and chickens and always a great garden and some fruit trees. She was an excellent cook. She made her homestead home in GA a very cozy, and welcoming home.
Darlene never met a stranger and was always willing to help people in need however she could. She built some great friendships over the years wherever she lived-which is evident through beautiful comments and love that has poured in from family and her friends.
Her faith in God was evident and He kept her safe and strengthened her through so many challenges. Where she had a will, she found a way. She was inspiring, brave, intelligent, determined, and loved her family relentlessly. She is already greatly missed.
