

Ms. Buder was born in Atlanta on September 26, 1945, daughter of Maretta Graham Buder and Edward Eugene Buder. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Maretta “Biddy” Cato.
Margie graduated with honors from West Rome High School where she excelled by being named as a National Merit Scholar. She was also a member of the girls Varsity basketball team. Margie attended Women’s College of Georgia where she majored in Literature and minored in Liberal Arts. She was formerly employed by Rome Holiday Inn and also as an accountant for the Double Cola Bottling Plant. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome.
Survivors include her son, Michael Eugene Farris of Cumming, GA; two grandsons, Landon and Mason Farris of Cumming; long- time companion, Charles Murphy of Rome; four nieces, Suzan Kipling Cato, Christina Maria Flowers, Winifred Seery Cato, and Rosamond Ramsey; and three great-nieces, Neely Vaughn, Chelsea Flowers, and Maria Flowers.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 4 pm at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
