Ms. Hobgood was born in Rockdale, TX, on July 1, 1965, the daughter of Ray Hobgood and Linda Southard Hobgood. She was a graduate of Armuchee High School and attended Coosa Valley tech and Daytona College. She was preceded in death by an uncle, Doyal Hobgood.
Ms. Hobgood served as a volunteer at the YMCA, the Church at Northside, where she was a member, the Rome-Floyd Humane Society and XL at West Rome Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Ray and Linda Hobgood, Rome; one aunt, Eleanor Pegg, Silver Creek; two uncles, Bobby Southard, Rome, and Harold (Mildred) Southard, Rome; and cousins, Amy Patterson, Kevin Hobgood, Vickie Kidd, Kathy Babb, and Ryan, Will and Sam Patterson.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Prater officiating.
The family will receive friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m.
