Mrs. Cooper was born on July 27, 1932, in Hagaman New York, the
daughter of the late William August Becker and the late Alice May Culer Becker.
Norene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1977.
Volunteered at the community kitchen.
Norene worked at several places in her life that included Case Tractor in Chamblee GA, Belk’s and James R Cooper LTD in Rome.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert David Cooper; her brother, William Edward Becker; and her sister, June Lucy Becker Sajdak.
She is survived by her three sons, William S. Cooper, James R Cooper and Gary C Cooper; her grandchildren, Matthew S. Cooper and Christie Sue Pollice (Guy); her great grandchildren, Christopher William Pollice and Audra Ann Pollice; as well as her sister. Judith Shannon.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 1:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of Rome. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:00 pm until the service time.
