

On Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the age of 84, Patsy Nan Moss Cole passed peacefully with family near. Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John P. (“Jack”) Cole, Jr.; her son John Moss Cole and his wife, Meredyth of Dallas, Texas; her daughter Nina Cole Loard and her husband, Kirk of St. Simons Island, Georgia; her cherished grandchildren John Clayton (“Clay”) Cole and Logan McClain Cole; and her sweet dog Maggie.
Born August 13, 1930 in Rome, Georgia to Gladys Daniel Moss and John Patrick Moss. She was a longtime resident of Bethesda, Maryland and Sea Island, Georgia. A graduate of Rome High School and Brenau College, where she was crowned May Queen. She went on to teach fourth grade at Rome’s Central Primary for eight years. She moved from Rome, Georgia to Washington, D.C. following her marriage and helped her husband establish what became the telecommunications/media law firm, Cole, Raywid & Braverman.
Patsy enjoyed antiquing, family celebrations, and was an accomplished decorator. She possessed a generous spirit and a keen sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by her loving family.
A private interment service was held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens, Rome, Georgia.
