Pat was my foster brother.  When I was 4 years old at home during the day with Mommy, Pat would often stop in at our house in Verdun,  Quebec to see Mommy on his lunch break. Full police uniform and gun. I was afraid of him when he was in his police man uniform, seeing his gun in his holster!! He would try to convince me that I didn’t need to be afraid.  I eventually got over that. But what was so special is that he always took the time to stop in and visit his (and my) foster mother. He had utmost love and respect for his foster family, and I remember him telling me how lucky we were to have parents like ours who really cared about us and taught us good manners and right from wrong.  He always believed in showing our love and respect to our parents. He really appreciated how well we were raised and talked about it often. Pat and Georgette would take me to their place for the weekend and it was always so much fun. Something I always looked forward to. Then when we moved to Ontario (I was 13) when I would go to Montreal for a visit all it took was a last-minute phone call to say I was in town and Pat would drop everything and come and get me so I could visit with them.    Then a few years later, when Pat, Georgette and Tara moved to Florida, I asked if I could go there for my March break and they were very happy to have me there. I took a night flight because it was cheaper so Pat had to stay up all night so he could pick me up at the airport at around 3 or 4 in the morning.  It didn’t bother him at all to go out if his way for little ole me!! In fact he was really happy to pick me up and bring me to his home and treat me like a Princess the whole time I was there. We drove everywhere so I could see the sights and had a wonderful day at the ocean.  
Whenever Mommy had any problems, Pat would always be there to straighten things out.  He always stuck up for her no matter what.   Rest In Peace dear Pat.  You will always be remembered and cherished. xoxoxo Love Vera. 

My sister Vera and I were taken in by the Eagleshams family at the tender age of 2 and three years old.  Pat Harry Brian and Heather became our foster family.   I am the blonde and long brunette is Vera in Harry’s photo above.  I have many fond memories of Pat sitting in our kitchen telling cop stories.  I learned what flat foot was.  And that we shouldn’t use crumpled up foil for our cat toys.   🙈He always made me laugh and would say he made the chairs I was sitting on.   I’d say wow they are nice then he’d laugh. Got me every time!   He loved mommy’s spaghetti sauce as we all do.   He’d say put lots hamburgar in there   ❤️I only saw Pat cry once and that was when daddy told him in the hos he wasn’t gonna make it.  Pat was a pillar of strength and I looked up to him.  He became detective and I was very proud to call him my brother.   Rest In Peace Pat.  You will be missed 💜 💜 💜 

Rest in peace uncle Pat.. i will always remember your great sense of humour, your sarcastic smile (which always made me laugh), how much you loved Auntie Georgie and Tara . You may have left us, but you will never be forgotten. 

The Eagleshams and our extended family share the love, the memories and sorrow at the loss of Pat. 

Pat was a big brother and hero to me throughout the school years: defending me with his fists from the bullies, excelling in athletics and attracting the girls!  In the teenage years he was my fishing buddy in Cantic on the Richelieu River and my hitch-hiking partner as we crossed the border to Rouses Point where the drinking age was lower. Walking home in the  pitch dark, singing the Beach Boys: I Get Around, pretending we weren`t scared. We spent many summers in Picton/Cherry Valley: on the beach at the Outlet/Sandbanks Park with cousins Sharon, Janice, and Carole. Eating rabbit and picking raspberries with Uncle Williard and Auntie Francis. Running with Duke, the black lab.

We will all miss him terribly but have some comfort knowing he is probably with Dad building something with a saw and a hammer. Then going fishing together.

Did not know you personally , but you were a good husband,great father and grand father as I have been told by many.


The photo that I posted was from our trip to Punta Cana in November 2017 for my 60th Birthday.  First time we did this brother,sister's & brother-in-laws. 
All I can say he was a great husband to my sister Georgie for the past 48 years and a great father to Tara Brown & grand-father to Kurtis & Bryana.He will greatly be missed.  DEBORAH,EMILE &MONTANA CAMPANELLO. R.I.P. PAT❤❤❤🙏💔💋
