First and foremost, Brian was a proud father. Many messages came pouring in saying how he LOVED to tell stories at work of all the children's antics and sweetness, and quirks. Brian was the life of the party. He's most well-known in the Sacramento area and Northern California's music scene as talented lead singer to bands like Above, Common Knowledge (1993-95), Absent Me (1998-2007), and Grey Atlas, (2007-08). He would often put on "Private Concerts" for his wife and children, happily playing guitar and singing whatever was requested. While shy on the inside, Brian loved to sing and entertain, so he found himself always the center of attention. He passes on to his children a love for music, a deep passion for barbecued and smoked meats, and horrible "Dad Jokes":
"What did George Washington say to his men before they got in the boat...? -"Men, get in the boat!"
Brian loved the Catholic faith, bulldogs, checking in on his mother every night, and cooking.
He was best friend to many, will always be loved, and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by: his stepfather "Dad" Bobby Rodgers, Uncle Larry Whatley, Grandparents: A.C. & Merle Whatley, Evelyn and Dennis Phillis, George James & Reba Tugaeff.
