Charles Bartell

Charles David Bartell, Jr., age 82, of Citrus Heights, CA passed away September 22 in his home. He was born March 13, 1929 in San Francisco, CA, the son of Charles and Helen Bartell. He served in the U.S. Army, was an Eagle Scout, a Mason, and a Shriner. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Engineering and played on the basketball team. He retired from the State of California as Chief of Division of Traffic Engineering for Caltrans. Chuck enjoyed fishing, basketball, playing golf and tennis.

Survivors include a son, Charles (Elaine) Bartell of Pleasant Hill, CA; two daughters Susan (Larry) Ford of Denver, CO; Elizabeth (Roger) Horn of Owensboro, KY. Five Grandchildren Nicole Bartell, Ryan Bartell, Matthew Horn, Sarah Beth Horn, and April (Loren) Yonts; two great-grandchildren Valerie and Mason Yonts.

The family will have a private memorial.
