Cory Brian Stricklin

Cory was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, step-dad, cousin, friend, and colleague. He was preceded in death by his Father, Anthony Stricklin, in 1973. Cory is survived by his wife, Jennifer Stricklin; by his parents, Doug and Judy McClymonds; His sister and brother-in law, Erin and Jerry Wagner, niece Samantha and nephew Jack Wagner. He is also survived by his many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and In-laws.

Cory was a general contractor and dedicated small business owner of AC Asphalt Sealing and Maintenance, Inc. and co-owner of Capitol Pavement Maintenance, serving the greater Sacramento area for over 24 years. He was a founding member and partner of the Crew Collaboration, dedicated to empowering construction’s next generation. Cory graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. He loved radio, news, and television. Most of all Cory loved getting to know people and making connections and friends in all areas of his life.

Cory loved Rock ‘n Roll and fast cars, water sports, snowboarding, riding motorcycles, and travelling the world. He always had a concert coming up, a car project going at home, an Indy car race set to record, and a trip on the horizon. You could find him on lunch listening to Howard Stern and grabbing a fish filet from McDonalds or a chili cheese dog from Weinerschnitzel. He loved making people laugh, helping people succeed, having his hair brushed, and spending time with his wife. He loved his dogs, Sydney and Axl, and his kitties, Tora and Neko. Cory is so greatly missed. Rest in Peace Cory Stricklin, we will see you again someday.

Funeral service is scheduled for **11am on February 13** at Lambert Funeral Home in Roseville, CA with a reception to follow. A Zoom link for remote attendance will be available.
