David Lawrence Beasley

David was born to Grover Cleveland “Cleve” Beasley and Dorothy Louise “Bobby” Stephenson on

January 2, 1946, in Tulare, CA. David attended Golden High School in Golden, Colorado, and East Texas

Baptist College in Marshall, Texas. He married the love of his life, Clara Mae Hawley, on June 17, 1972.

They were married for 51 years. David often shared that marrying Clara was the second-best decision he

ever made, accepting Christ into his life being the best decision. David was an industrial mechanic for

Campbell’s Soup and Reynold’s Metals for over 25 years. David’s love for the Lord was obvious and

demonstrated throughout his life. 

David’s children, Douglass Mitchell, Jennifer, and Andrew (Michelle), were his pride and joy. David was

known as “Pops” to his grandchildren, Caleb, Cordell, Mitchell, Allison, and Andrew Jr. 

David is survived by his brother Robin Beasley (Susan) of Whitney, Texas, and Martha Caudle (John) of

Tulare, CA, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Bonny, son Douglass Mitchell Beasley, and

grandson, Caleb Glasgow.  

A Celebration of Life will be held for David on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Lifehouse

Church, 4800 Sierra College Boulevard, Rocklin, CA 95677. Pastor Jay Vincent will officiate the service.
