David Tithin was a man whose heart was measured by the lives he touched. He was born on March 28, 1971, on the island of Yap, Micronesia, and transitioned on March 6, 2026, in Sacramento, CA. David is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Claudia Mitrad, and his father, Moses Figir. He is survived by his daughters, Mekaila Groves and Kiana Cobb, and his granddaughters, Jalaya Groves and Jalani Groves.
David came to the States with his aunt, Claudia Heine, and his cousins, Jennifer, Jonathan, and Jordan Heine at the age of 17. From a young age, he always showed an interest in boats. That interest became a passion, and that passion became a profession. Not only was he a wizard with boats — turning a three-hour job into a one-hour job, some friends would say — but his extroverted personality allowed him to make many friends along the way. David was widely known for his big heart and the selfless acts of kindness he demonstrated every day. He was a prime example of what it meant to put family first. Although his time with us was shorter than we wished, the joy, love, and memories he shared continue to live on in all who knew him, ensuring his legacy endures.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on March 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, California. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m.
