
Debbie “Ama” Baender experienced an untimely passing in her sleep due to cardiac arrest. She is preceded in death by her son, Andy Bruton and mother, Pauline Hernandez. She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Mike Baender, her beloved daughter Bonnie Angelone, son-in-law D.J. Angelone with grandsons Drew and Gabe, step daughter and husband Rachelle and Mario Cardoza with grandsons Keaton and Landon, and step daughter Lindsey Baender. Also, her adoring father and step mother Robert and Yvonne Hernandez, brother and sister-in-law Paul and Heather Hernandez, sister and brother-in-law Amy and Eric Smith with niece Sofia. She will also be missed by many dear friends that she considered family. Debbie was a mother to all, and welcomed you with an infectious smile, always making you feel like family the instant you entered her home. She loved the outdoors, motorcycle riding, wine tasting, cooking and sometimes even hiking. Most of all, she enjoyed watching her grandsons play, create, imagine and grow. Spending time with her family and friends, cooking a big meal to share, and snuggling with her furry companion, Ginger were among her many passions. She will also be deeply missed by the Cal-Tex and Sacramento riding groups. She worked for the California Highway patrol in many capacities in her 39 year tenure, most recently organizing the “Every 15 Minute” program statewide. A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at Rocklin Event Center, 2650 Sunset Blvd. Rocklin, CA on August 26, 2013 at 10:30am -- supported by Lambert Funeral Home, Dignity Memorial (400 Douglas Blvd. Roseville, CA 95678). Finally, a donation can be made in Debbie’s name to CAHP Widows and Orphans Fund.
