Dick was born in Neenah Wisconsin to Harry and Fannie Gibson. Loving father to Cathy Gibson and preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Gibson, 77, on December 26, 2014.
Dick served in the Navy and after his service concluded, he attended San Jose State University and graduated with a B.A degree, Chemical Engineering. He retired from Lockheed after a long and successful career in 1992. Dick enjoyed bowling, downhill skiing and golf. Dick and Barbara enjoyed socializing with their many friends in the Bay Area and at Sun City Roseville.
As Dick served in the Navy, a Committal Service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:30am where he and Barbara will be inurned. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the American Cancer Association or National Parkinson Foundation.
